Good Morning.

People are so quick to post complaints, but in my case I would like to show appreciation to a young, kind, knowledgable sales consultant, Abdullateef from Gardens MTN, who assisted me last week buying and setting up 2 x Samsung Note10 Lite phones. He was efficient, so very helpful, super efficient and such a pleasure to deal with! I was going with Vodacom until I met him!!! He is fantastic and I will always be loyal to MTN from now.

I was delighted when I saw a new MTN store open so close to home.

Lockdown came and sadly I could not get my new phone but that is nothing compared to the awful ills that have prevailed during this season of a pandemic.

Imagine walking into a store to be treated with respect, helpfulness and the absolute commitment to the client. THAT WAS MY EXPERIENCE at MTN Constantia Emporium during a time when we are all struggling.

Thank you so much for the absolute commitment in sorting me out and making sure that my phone is compatible to my wifi in a very short space of time.

May you both be very happy in a new city at a new store.

Recently my Huawei P30 Pro camera stopped working. I absolutely love my P30 Pro and did not want a Iphone, or Samsung or P40 or any other phone than my P30 Pro. Knowing that service centres were closed, i remembered i had an upgrade due in May – YAY my luck was in!!!!!!

I am also an essential worker and and Sunday, 10 May i had some time to go around and get an upgrade. I went from MTN store to MTN store, not one store had a phone and or offered any help. Almost giving up, i googled MTN near me and the Emporium MTN number popped up – I did not even know there was a store (I live in Bergvliet).

Feeling very demotivated, i called, knowing no one will anser because every MTN store i phoned in Cape Town did not answer their phones.

After 3 rings this very friendly voice answered the phone, introducing himself as Anthony. I explained my situation to Anthony and told him i work in a lab and need my phone for videos and pictures. He told me he does not have a P30 Pro in stock, but he will phone around and see if he can find one for me. This was the first MTN employee that offered me any kind of help. However, from past experience i did not put much faith into it as not many has ever gotten back to me.

Mondy, 11 May i get a call, surprisingly from MTN – and from Anthony!!! I could not believe it! Anthony told me that he might have found me the only last P30 Pro, but it is Aurora color and he wants to double check i will be happy with that! I said YES YES YES!!! Get my phone!!!!! Friday, 15 May 2020 at 09h00 Anthony called to let me know my phone arrived!!!!

I was in awe!!!!! Never ever have i had this sort of service from a mobile shop!!!!! The team at MTN Emporium is absolutely amazing and to find the last phone for me and go out of their way to make me happy and help me felt great!!!!

Thank you Anthony and team, you guys absolutely outdid yourselves and i will be doing all my upgrades with you!!!

Also….i got there to pick up my phone, all paperwork was ready for me, i only needed to sign, take my phone and off i go!

They deserve a staff party!!!!

I visited the MTN store, located within the Pick n Pay Centre, Pentz Drive earlier this morning.

Unfortunately I had previously visited the MTN Bayside store on Saturday 16 March however after much frustration, I cancelled my contract application through them and visited the store mentioned above.

I was attended to by Dennis and Juan-Pierre. What an amazing customer experience. Dennis went out of his way to assist me and try and make my experience as pleasant as possible. I was able to apply for a contract, get it vetted and left the store with my new device.

How refreshing to get such amazing service in such unforeseen times.

These two gentleman are a blessing and I truly hope that MTN values them.
